TURN
UP THE VOLUME WITH DUALSTREAM
Domestic hot water supply is one of the key considerations when
designing a heating system, which is why GAH Heating have come up
with the new Dualstream water control system. Dualstream effectively
boosts hot and cold water flow rates, even in properties with more
than one bathroom, or where incoming mains pressure is low. Consisting
of a hot and cold water pressure balancing unit incorporating a
high performance unvented hot water cylinder, Dualstream enhances
the incoming mains supply to provide balanced water supplies to
all hot and cold outlets – even when run simultaneously.
At the heart
of the Dualstream system is an accumulator vessel which stores mains
water at incoming pressure. This stored water becomes the engine
that drives the hot/cold outlets, providing the volume of water
that a normal unvented system would not be able to deliver, especially
in properties suffering from poor flow rates as low as 9 l/min.
As water is drawn off, the accumulator vessel is charged by the
incoming mains, enhancing the volume feeding both the cylinder and
cold supplies to the rest of the house, giving a truly outstanding
performance.

Dualstream
can be used with either an existing or new heating system, offering
all the advantages associated with an unvented system. With no feed
and expansion tanks necessary there is no risk of water stagnation
and legionella, and no risk of frost damage to pipework. There’s
also no cistern filling noise, and no need for noisy pumps on power
showers either as the hot water pressure from the Dualstream system
means you can have real power shower performance without the pump.
With Dualstream,
there is no longer any need to put up with a drop in shower performance
every time the dishwasher is turned on. Sized correctly, the system
will allow any number of baths or showers to be run at the same
time. Accumulator sizes range from 60 up to 450 litres, with direct
and indirect cylinders up to 500 litres available. This means that
the system is just as suitable for small flats as for larger properties,
and two or more models can be installed in parallel for greater
volume demand.
