By designing more aerodynamic profiles for the leading edge of refrigerated vehicles, GAH have been able to significantly reduce drag which increases fuel efficiency and, with three available variants, the FS (unit cover only), the FS Midi (unit cover and matching mid size cab spoiler) and the FS Max (full cab mounted spoiler and air management kit), your diesel bill could be reduced by up to 10%
Better by Design
The new Fuel Saver range from GAH has been designed with fuel cost reduction in mind. With the low noise and highly efficient Copeland Scroll compressor for standby use, your noise pollution and mains electrical consumption are also reduced. You can be safe in the knowledge that while you are being efficient you are also being green.
Burn less fuel, save money and reduce your carbon footprint. In the current climate it has to make sense! The Fuel Saver Range helps you to:
- Reduce your fuel bill by up to 10%
- Reduce your carbon emissions
- Reduce your standby noise levels
- Reduce your electrical consumption
- Increase your profitability
Available in Chill, Freeze or multi-temperature formats and with the benefit of GAH's National Service cover, the FS range should, with the money saved in fuel bills, actually pay for itself and more. The higher your mileage, the quicker this will be.
The unit covers have been designed in conjunction with the country's leading airflow management specialist, Professor Kevin Garry of Cranfield University to reduce head on and cross wind drag. The FS Midi and FS Max units incorporate NACA ducts to ensure a large volume of air is taken efficiently from the main air flow to feed the refrigeration unit. Even when stationary the FS7 unit delivers in excess of 7kW of cooling at 0°C, enough capacity to, in some cases, completely negate the need for a costly independent diesel system altogether, even more savings!
"But won't any blade or 3D cover do this for me?" Well, in a word, no! In fact the Department for Transport have proved that some wind deflectors or blades can actually increase drag decreasing fuel efficiency (www.freightbestpractice.org.uk). Many deflectors can actually starve the fridge unit of air, decreasing its performance. Remember, the GAH FS range manages the airflow so that it is used to the best advantage for both cooling and fuel efficiency.

FS Service Options
A full range of options are available to maintain your new GAH FS system in peak condition. Maintenance packages can be tailored to your needs with all of the detail being looked after by GAH. Just relax safe in the knowledge that we will log all details, contact you when the system requires servicing, travel to your site at a mutually convenient time to minimise your downtime and back this up with the UK's largest fleet of bespoke fridge engineers all fully equipped to get the job sorted first time.
Our engineers are equipped with the latest GPS fleet management equipment and their stock is tailored to suit systems in their area therefore response times are minimised and the vast majority of jobs are completed on site in the first visit. This not only minimises downtime but completely eliminates the need for vehicles to visit a depot to take their place in a queue for routine maintenance or remedial work.
Please contact our service department with your details for further information.
