A
NEW ANGLE ON SERVICING FROM GAH THERMECON! (No
1)
GAH Thermecon have come up with another set of clever ideas to
make life easier when installing and servicing their Select and
Option oil boilers. Firstly, they have introduced a 45o angle
cutaway with access plate across the top and front of the water
jacket, which provides greater access for cleaning, locating baffles,
and viewing the burner. This new angle on servicing for models
from 40,000 to 120,000 Btu/h is unique, and has been patented
by GAH Thermecon.

The second
new innovation at GAH Thermecon has been the introduction of concentric
flues on all models for quicker installation on site. GAH Thermecon
believes that the new flues are ‘better all round’,
with installers able to use the same standard core drills as for
gas flues. Finished in white with stainless steel terminals, the
new flues match the styling of both the Select and Option models,
and feature ‘O’ ring self seals for a tight and reliable
fit. Furthermore, all boilers are supplied with interchangeable
blanking plates for a choice of rear, side or vertical balanced
flue outlet.
|
Last but
not least, GAH Thermecon has also introduced an easier way to
work on the burner. From October this year, Select and Option
boilers will include a 90o snorkel tube adapter which connects
the burner and snorkel system for either balanced or conventional
flue. This means that the fire-retardant snorkel is no longer
scrunched up against the casing when fixed to the burner, alleviating
wear and tear, and allowing simple ‘pull off /push on’
connection.

These new developments are being applied across the range of Select
floor standing and Option boilers. Select floor standing models
have outputs from 40,000 to a massive 300,000 Btu/h, all of which
are suitable for conventional or balanced flue. Models up to 120,000
Btu/h can be sited beneath a fixed work surface as they feature
front servicing. With eight models available, the Select incorporates
a deluxe control panel concealed behind a flush-fitting panel,
with clearly visible neon indicators. A choice of internal and
external wall mounted models (40,000 – 80,000 Btu/h) completes
the Select range.
As an alternative
to Select models, GAH Thermecon also have the Option range, which
features a full height door, and internal control panel with manual
reset limit stat. Outputs and sizes for the Option range are identical
to the Select floor standing range, and an Option system boiler
(60,000 – 150,000 Btu/h) means sealed systems are catered
for as well. System boilers incorporate either a 10 or 20 litre
expansion vessel, circulating pump, pressure gauge/relief valve
built in at the factory. A filling loop is also supplied.

All GAH
Thermecon oil boilers are supplied with neoprene oil lines tested
to a 20 bar pressure rating, isolation tap, and filter with fittings.
Grundfos pumps are standard and have gate type isolation valves.
Electrical components are pre-wired for quick and easy plug-in
installation. Guarantee – parts and labour, 2 years burner
components (excluding nozzle), 3 years optional extended warranty,
5 years exchanger.
